The Buried 1957 Plymouth Belvedere - Tulsarama 2007

Everybody loves time capsules.  They're a neat look into the often forgotten past.  For most car guys/gals, time capsules are cool but they're missing something:  a car.  On June 15th, 1957, someone was thinking of us car guys/gals when the ultimate time capsule was made.  This one contains a 1957 Plymouth Belvedere 2 door.  It was buried along with a bunch of knick-nacks from the period during Golden Jubilee Week in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Lowering the Belvedere

Why do I bother bringing it up when you can't see it?  Well, on June 15th, 2007, the time capsule containing the Belvedere is to be unearthed.

Contestants for Miss Tulsarama

I'm really curious to see what is going to be left of the rust-prone Belvedere.  The capsule didn't have any de-humidifiers or ventilation in it, so I am sure that rust is going to be a major part of the car's appearance (as the Belvederes were prone to rust anyway).  Regardless of the condition of the car, I've got my calender marked.  How about you?
