Hey guys.  This is my first entry.  About me: I'm John, one of the CC staffers.  I was officially hired during the last week of December.  But I'd been working as the photo editor of CC and Hot Rod for almost two years before that, so I guess I've been around here for a while.

I love my job and am very excited about the things we are doing here.  Car Craft is selling well and people seem to be responding favorably to the things we're doing.  We're just finishing up our December issue, and it looks pretty cool.  It's the annual supercharger issue where we compile several stories about forced induction: Jeff's got an blower install and dyno test on a 5.0 Ford; I wrote a "what's new" piece about new parts, applications, and technology; and Doug wrote about a really cool 800 hp Nova that runs on E85 and has a big, 8-71 blower sticking out of the hood.  Also look for a couple other cool car features including a wheelie-popping 66 Fairlane wagon, Doug's fuel system article, Jeff's dyno test of header collector extension pipes, and my attempts to learn how to TIG weld.

We're planning some really cool stuff for '08, too.  There'll be some road trips, race coverage, car shows, plus some real hard-core tech stuff that will expand your knowledge and hopefully save you some money as well.

In print, we're doing well, but not so much so on the net.  I'm hoping to attract more people to our online content.  So, my goal is to update this once a week, and in so doing, give sort of a glimpse into life here and what to look forward to seeing from us every month.  So, be sure to check back often.

John
