I saw this little trick on my buddy Craig Boone's car that I thought was cool. The hidden coil is not a new idea, but his take on the trick places the coil in the cowl area of his early Camaro, running the wiring and high-tension coil wire through small holes in the cover. The cover is easily removable with two small sheetmetal screws. Mounting the coil in the cowl area also keeps the coil cool when Craig is flogging his Camaro on the local road courses.
