Every so often, the photographer is put in front of the lens. Here, freelance photographer Wes Allison is interviewed by videographer Jeff Brooks. Wes, who likely prefers to be behind the camera, was describing what goes into a good magazine cover photograph. Though it's often a combination of intangible elements, we know what makes a good cover picture, and Wes is the guy who's photographed almost all our covers for the last three years.
