While cruisin' the Pomona swap meet with my buddy Scott Gillman, he had just proclaimed that he doesn't collect model cars. "That's just something I don't do," he says. Moments later, we stumbled upon the Mooneyes booth, where Scott instantly became infatuated with a Mooneyes' glitter globe version of Rat Fink driving Ed Roth's Beatnik Bandit custom. Note that Rat Fink is driving the car with the joystick steering control, just like the original car. Instead of snow flakes in the globe, there's—what else—tiny metalflake paint chips. According to the Rat Fink dash plaque included with the model, this is one of only 200 built.
