The ultimate ’55 Chevy

Back when I owned my ’55 Chevy, I got on this kick of collecting photos of what I thought were the coolest ’55 Chevys of all time. There are many, including the Two-Lane Blacktop–primered ’55 movie car and Scott Sullivan's Cheese Whiz–orange Pro Street ’55 Chevy. But the baddest ’55 of all time to me was Gary Kollofski's black, blown ’55 big-block car. This Minnesota car ended up on the cover of Hot Rod in 1977, two years before I started here at Car Craft, and that car just turned me upside down. This photo was from the ’77 Car Craft Street Machine Nationals. Note the Car Craft license plate on the front bumper.
