Deal of the Week

Hey, where's my sat-nav GPS?

I like weird, off-the-wall, interesting cars and was drawn to this listing that just went up today on Craig's List. It's a '72 Dodge Colt that looks a little like the iconic Datsun 510. Maybe that's because this was, in fact, a Japanese car. From allpar.com:

Dodge started importing the Colt in the last quarter of 1970 (1971 model year) from Mitsubishi, and Plymouth began importing the similar Champ in 1974. In Canada, it was called the Cricket, replacing the rebadged Sunbeam/Hillman Avenger (a British car).

The engine is a 1.6 liter (98 CID) overhead cam inline four that powered the rear wheels through either a 4-speed manual or 3-speed automatic transmission.

I came across at least one guy on the message boards who's got one of the turbocharged 2.4L engines in his. Though for $2000, it could be just a cool little commuter vehicle.
