Did you guys happen to notice the video section on the front page of CarCraft.com? I posted two videos yesterday I took of my time at the 1/8th mile drags at Irwindale a couple of weeks ago. A word of warning: don’t expect to be blown away by them. I’m no videographer, there is no slick Top Gear-style production, and I’m kinda dopey in front of the camera. But I want to start doing more stuff like this for our website- videoblogs of stuff we’re doing, shows we’re at, and what we’re working on. Let us know what you think.
Another word of warning: I’m no John Force and my car is not fast. But I took the Vicky to Irwindale and grabbed my best timeslip so far. The slowest it's been is 10.3 seconds and the fastest is 9.982 as seen in the second video. Keep in mind these are 1/8th mile times and I’m not piloting a real 10-second car. 9.98 in the 1/8th works out to about 15.56 or so in the 1/4th mile. So it’s not fast, but not as slow as I thought it would be. And it’s a ton of fun- actually two tons!
