Seen at the Machine Shop

While at JMS Racing Engines last week, we marveled at this 302 Ford that was in to have a water leak fixed. This was no ordinary block, though. Someone had spend a major portion of his life tuning this thing up with hard block, epoxy sealer, needle-bearing cam journals, oil squirters, and bushed lifter bores.

It developed a water leak from one of the coolant jackets and would fill the oil pan up with water. The owner sent it to Mike and the guys to fix it. The problem is that for what it will cost to fix and re-machine this thing, he guy could buy a new block from Ford racing and make just as much power. Bummer, dude!
