Maybe E Stands for Excellent

We just learned this from our parts guy, Ken Casey at Burt Chevrolet. We had him look up the part number for the oil pan for the new ’10 Camaro, and according to his parts book, GM is now referring to the new Camaro as an E-Body. That’s a reference that will take some getting used to for GM guys, since the ’70s Mopar Challenger and ’Cuda were called E-Bodies. For those Mopar trivia buffs, yes, Mopar had an F-Body—the Dodge Aspen and Plymouth Volare that were produced from 1976 to 1980 and replaced by the now-forgettable K-car.
