I saw this car a few weeks ago at the Sunday morning car show at Village Coffee Roasters at Valley Circle Road in Chatsworth. This cruise spot draws a lot of exotics and sports cars, witnessed by the Ferrari seen in the periphery in one of the pictures, also draws a lot of muscle cars and interesting, off-beat builds like this. I wasn’t able to track down the owner, but I was impressed with the quality of the work. That’s a N/A 32-valve 4.6 possibly from a ’99 Mustang Cobra, ’03 Mustang Mach 1, or an ’03 Mercury Marauder. Behind it was a T-56 trans and 8.8-inch rear. A quick check online tells me that an ’04 Focus weighs just over 2,500 pounds. Stir that with at least 300 horsepower and I’ll bet that car is a blast to drive.
