If you’ve got the money (and I don’t) this is a great time to buy a car. Really, it’s a great time to buy anything because people are looking to unload whatever they can for some extra cash. Car dealerships are especially feeling the pinch as car sales have fallen off a cliff over the last few months. Therefore, you can find exceptional deals, even on the used car lot.
Take this car for example. I’ve really been starting to like these late-model Thunderbirds, and at $2,200, this thing is a steal. The longevity of the Mod motor is a proven fact, and therefore there’s no need to fear this car’s 130,000 mile reading on the odometer. Plus, a 40 hp boost is just a swap away if you drop on a pair of Performance Improved (PI) cylinder heads and intake manifold. That jump in power, combined a slightly lowered stance would really compliment the car’s NASCAR-ish good looks (if you’re into that sort of thing) and make this ‘Bird a really cool cruiser. Remember- Thunderbirds and Cougars are really just Mustangs in disguise, and all the performance tricks that work on a Fox or SN95 Mustang will likely work on these cars, too.
