2011 Camaro Makes More Ponies Than GM Thought

SAE certification has been completed on the '11 Camaro V-6, and it turns out the engine makes more horsepower and torque than estimated. The new numbers are 312 hp at 6,500 rpm (was 304 hp) and 278 lb-ft of torque at 5,100 rpm (was 273 lb-ft). GM said 304 ponies had been a "conservative rating" on its part.
