Spectre 341 Challenge

 Car Craft is in Virginia City, Nevada for the Spectre 341 Challenge


 Tech Editor Jeff Smith and Associate Editor John McGann are in the frontier town of Virginia City, Nevada. Jeff is driving his 65 Chevelle in the Spectre 341 Challenge, which will be held this coming Saturday and Sunday. This will be Jeff’s second time running up the mountain. He said he’s hoping to beat his best time from last year. “3 minutes 55 seconds would be a good goal,” Jeff says. “Actually the primary goal is just to survive, and not break the car!” 

The course is a 5.1-mile section of Nevada Highway 341. It has 22 turns and a 1,200-foot rise in elevation. Check out the official website here.
