On the Barrett-Jackson auction block was the first '13 Corvette 427 Convertible Collector Edition, sporting the VIN 001. The car is due at dealerships this summer (wait, not this particular car...ones just like it) and has a 427ci LS7 from the Corvette Z06 (wait, not removed from the Z06... one just like it) mated to a six-speed stick, and is worth 505 horses and 470 lb-ft of torque. Yes, that does indeed make it the most potent engine in a production version of a convertible Vette. To get to the question you probably still have, 001 sold for $600,000.
