We are announcing plans early this year- must be some sort of record! Here are the details:
May 3-5, 2013
Cruisin' Morro Bay
Yes, this is the 3rd year in a row that we've chosen Morro Bay as the Anti-Tour destination, and the reason is because so many of the participants have said how much they liked the trip. A few have even told us they'd go to Morro Bay for the car show whether or not it was our destination for Anti-Tour. So here we go again!
Friday May 3
4700 Calle Bolero
Camarillo, CA 93012
Again, the folks at Wilwood will have coffee and donuts. They'll also be offering tours of their facility, so be sure to arrive early enough to partake in both of those activities!
We plan to leave Wilwood between 9:00 and 9:30 am. Last year, that got us to Morro Bay in plenty of time to participate in Friday's cruise night, which begins at 6:00 pm.
The route will be the same as previous years. You can find it on Google Maps here. We'll driving to Morro Bay via CA33 and CA166, and there is a stretch of about 150 miles between fuel stops. Destinations B and E on the map are gas stations. Destination D is lunch at the Burger Barn in New Cuyama. The remaining destinations on the route are stops to regroup and take pictures.
9:00 - 4:00
Saturday May 4
Sunday May 5
Cruisin Morro Bay is a big car show that spans several blocks of downtown Morro Bay. The show's organizers will be giving us passes to the show, so there is NO NEED to register ahead of time. The passes will be handed out Friday morning at Wilwood. The organizers will have a section reserved for us on Saturday, but feel free to park anywhere.
We will return to Los Angeles Sunday morning.
Tell your friends and family; we'd love to have you join us. We ask that you RSVP in the Official Anti-Tour 2013 thread on Car Craft's message board, so we can request enough passes from the show organizers to accommodate everyone.
Thanks, and we hope to see you in May!
