  • A survey by Kelley Blue Book found that a third of those responding plan to keep their next new-vehicle purchase for 10 years—or longer. Most researched vehicles on the site in 2012? Ones from Asian automakers. Of the top 20 researched, only the Ford Focus would be of interest to you. And even then, barely.


  • Alcoa was named “Most Admired Metals Company” in the world for the second year in a row by Fortune magazine.


  • In case you wondered, the number is 40 percent. For those of you not wondering the question, it was based on Ford’s global waste reduction plan by 2016: 40 percent reduction per vehicle in the amount of waste being sent to the landfill, or 13.4 pounds per vehicle worldwide.
